buzzback is seeking a Qualitative Project Manager as the logistics lead for qualitative research projects employing various digital and traditional methodologies, as well as creative event planning (in-field immersions, workshops, brainstorm sessions post-Covid). This role requires previous experience within qualitative recruiting or operations, and market research field management.

Qualified candidates should be flexible, reliable, results-oriented, and a team player. The role provides proximity to Fortune 1000 accounts and some of the largest, most well-known brands. The ideal candidate will have a track record of exceeding expectations, and will be a good listener who is highly organized and detail oriented.


Job responsibilities:

  • Proactively manage qualitative vendors / partners to ensure quality recruits and seamless in-field logistics;
  • Build relationships with vendors; build vendor database with best in class recruiting partners
  • Occasionally manage the entire recruitment process
  • Cultivate and maintain buzzback qualitative panel for ad hoc qualitative requests
  • Manage fieldwork of the qualitative studies in progress,
  • Lead development of fieldwork documents and comprehensive logistics documents
  • Ensure fieldwork success, proactively stay connected, provide guidance, and become a true partner to the moderators and analysts on the Qualitative Team; Anticipates issues and proactively provides solutions that align with project’s strategic objectives
  • Be able to track, change, and adapt to project work as it continuously evolves
  • Manage / track project budgets and other billing details
  • Work autonomously and resourcefully to create solutions, often with incomplete information and under demanding timelines.  Yet, act as a team player with a collaborative spirit


Longer term:

As it pertains to events post-Covid, plan logistics of events that inspire project teams (clients + internal staff) to come up with their best ideas and highest levels of client service

  • Including thoughtful venue selection, invitation creation, expert hunting, handling catering and supporting the development of creative exercises and provocative stimulus
  • Cultivate and maintain buzzback qualitative panel for ad hoc qualitative requests


  • BA/BS degree required
  • 4-5 years of well-rounded qualitative research project management experience
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills along with interpersonal & leadership skills plus a positive presence with creative problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated, energetic, disciplined, fast learner, and extremely proactive
  • 3+ years strongly preferred including expertise in managing traditional qualitative fieldwork, knowledge of digital qualitative platforms
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to be the calm in the storm of a fast-paced, multitasking environment and to remain exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, and proven to be effective at multi-tasking
  • Willingness to establish good working relationships with the extended team and clients plus a proven track record to manage vendor relations.
